Regulation Advisory

The Filing of Addresses regulation (section 1380.5 of Title 16 of the California Code of Regulations) was amended effective July 1, 2016.

Current Requirement: Each person holding a license as a psychologist is required to report his or her current mailing address to the Board of Psychology. Any change to this address must be immediately reported to the Board. This address is used as your Address of Record, and disclosable to the public, including on the Department of Consumer Affairs’ BreEZe website.

Additional Requirements Effective July 1, 2016:

a. If a licensed psychologist provides a post office box or other alternate address to be used as the Address of Record, he or she must also provide a physical business or residential address for the Board’s internal administrative use, and will not be available to the public.

b. Each applicant and licensee who has an email address shall provide it to the Board, and must ensure it remains current.

c. Any change to any address (either physical, mailing, or electronic), shall be reported to the Board within 30 days of the change.

d. Failure to comply with these requirements may subject the licensee to an enforcement action.
