(Sacramento) - A San Francisco psychologist has agreed to surrender her license after she was accused of sexual misconduct with a former patient.
The California Board of Psychology filed an accusation against licensed psychologist Christina Villarreal last month, alleging sexual misconduct with a former patient, sexual exploitation and unprofessional conduct.
In its accusation, the Board of Psychology sought to revoke or suspend Villarreal’s license. Villarreal, a practitioner in private practice, chose to resolve the accusation by agreeing to surrender her license to the Board of Psychology effective June 2, 2017, and waiving her rights to a hearing.
